We picked our apartment...

So hubby and I could take a look at the apartments together I had to re-schedule the EFMP (to get the frickin signature. I don't know if it is everywhere like that but over here they only sign them twice a month so they make you come back for a frickin signature. ARGH!!!) and the Gynecology appointment.
The housing lady is very nice and helpfull. She explained everything to us, we got our package, maps and keys. What a surprise it was that we actually got one apartment in the area we wanted to be and the other one was way out of town. We both knew what apartment we'd take even though the other one (the one out of town) is fairly new. However, the one in the area we wanted is huuuge. Our housing lady got an exception of policy because there are no two bedrooms available at all and it could have taken 3-4 months for us to get into housing so she talked to her manager and he said that we could have a 3 bedroom apartment... but not a renovated one. Q is fine with that. I am too. With a little color and some pics at the wall it'll be very nice. The only thing I don't know is how the oven works. They have weird cooking plates and they are kind of taken out and I have no idea of how you get them back in there. So this is going to be a lot of fun to get used to an oven like that.... LOL

That is the kitchen of the apartment in our preferred area.

Not bad at all, huh? And guess who is going to clean the windows... LOL

Another shot of the living room. It is big. If that apartment was off post, we'd have to pay a fortune even though it isn't renovated.

Closet and Storage...not the newest but acceptable

I am not going to take this one, that is for sure. Look at these staints. I have my own nice bed queen size bed!

Another bedroom.

As you can see, the apartment is HUUUGE and acceptable. The other one, however, is not as old and pretty new. I love that kitchen and the oven is brand new as well.

This is one and the same room.

Thats how you get to the bedrooms and the bathroom and yep that is me in the mirror.

The bathroom looks nicer. As you can see it is not really big but it's bigger than in the other apartment.

The bedrooms however, are only half the size.

Love the closet though. Much better than in the other building.

So both apartments have it's perks and it was not an easy decision. Even though I wanted the smaller one, which was just 500 meters away from the commissary, we decided to get the one that is in the area we wanted to have in the first place. It is closer to his office, we can jump on the Strassenbahn to get downtown instead of taking the car and I don't have to get up every morning to drive him to PT.

I think we made the right choice. Oh yeah... on a side note. He gets transportation, I don't. LOL

Hi!! Both kitchens look nice! I guess it all comes down to the bedroom size! :)

Hahaha, that's one of the reasons why hubby wanted to have the first apartment. He was like "I want a REAL master bed room." :)

Both look nice to me, and I am sure if I had a choice, I would also take one with the convenience of being close to what you need to be close too!
Still no information about our orders, so it might take us a little more time to come and visit you! But if everything turn out to be like it is suppose to be, we will be there by Mid June! Whoohoo!
