Sometimes I have the worst luck...

Sunday we wanted to go to the German-American Volks Fest but of course my back had to kill all our plans. I bended over to pick up Indra's Kong and I heard it cracking. I yelled for hubby and he helped me on the couch. First I thought that it wasn't as bad as the other times but it got worse during the day. In the end I was laying on the floor and couldn't get up without help. Hubby didn't dare to touch me, he didn't know what to do and in the end he called the ambulance. So the firefighters came first, than the MP's and than the German ambulance.

Since we live on the third floor and they couldn't tell if it was the spine I was carried out of the window via the fire-escape-ladder. Now that was an experience.
At the hospital they decided to keep me for a couple of days since I couldn't walk at all.

The next day mom stopped by to pick up the dogs so they are taken care off. Thank god for moms and god bless them. I wouldn't know what to do without her.

I am back home, still not able to sit very long but I can walk. It looks funny when I walk but I am walking and I am so glad to be out of the hospital. I bet you they would have kept me longer but I just didn't want to stay.

Anyhow, I better get off the computer. Sat enough for now and my back is reminding me not to sit for too long.

So ya'll take care.

We were so worried when we saw the fire truck! Glad you're home now though, hope you feel better soon!

Thank you for worrying, Satakieli *hugs* It was crazy. I would have never thought that they take me out of the window. I thought they'd give me some painkillers and assist me down the stairs. But I just couldn't get up and I've never been in pain like that before. I couldn't even roll over without screaming. I was laying on the floor for two hours (if not longer) before they got me out of there. It's partially the disk and a hyper-mobility in my back.

They said it'll never go away again and the best way to get it under control would be Pilates. But I shouldn't just join a group, instead I should get my very own Pilates trainer and concentrate on the back muscles.

I wish you a "Get well soon". Even if I just read that it never will go away. I hope you find a Pilates trainer and it will really help you. For the back a good workout is for sure the best you can do.

Thank you Anke. I hope I can find a good trainer as well. I need to build up back muscles. I guess it is the only way to get back on track.
