Even though Upstate New York is a little on the pricey end I am simply in love with this Area. It is so beautiful, everybody is being so friendly and helpfull and there are so many new things to explore.
I am so in love with this place. I am off post, have great neighbors, I can actually open the door and let the dogs run. It's so great to not have to worry about neighbors that'll call housing to complain because you have your dogs off leash.
Of course I don't let them out there all by themselves, they are supervised at all times even though a lot of neighbors do that. It seems to be a common thing out here that people open the door, let the dogs out and leave them out there all day long. I don't like that because I know mine would definitely go and explore the neighborhood and possibly get in trouble so I am not taking any of these chances.
Chris has given me a tour through Watertown and showed me all the places that are worth it. She lead me to the best spots, where to shop and I've seen PINK rifles. PINK(!!!) RIFLES!!!!
I had a good laugh and even though I don't like pink rifles I am probably getting one just because I can LOL.
Anyhow, I heard coyotes howling last night. Now thats a new one. All the dogs in the neighborhood responded, especially the hunting beagles down the road.
My plan, not being involved with the drama on post is working out great. Especially since we are living off post, far away from all the drama. Man, I am so happy.
Other than that, it could not go any better as far as getting settled in and learning about my new home.
