So apparently there is a lady in my town that carries the same name I do (except for the middle name) which is not hard at all since I carry one of the most common names out there. However, somehow they must have mixed up my address with hers or maybe it was a complete bogus call since I have not received anything official in the mail. For some reason they thought I was her, called my number and accused me of fraud and wanted to summon me to court.
I was asked for my social security number to confirm my identity... urm... no way that I hand that one out over the phone, there are different ways to confirm my identity. Maybe my place of birth, perhaps?
She kept asking if I had previously lived in Baker Street. Nope, never heard of it and by the way I have not written a single cheque in my entire life! I asked her what birth date they had on file. She said July but I am not born in July. I told her that I am a German Citizen and just moved to the US in December, I have never lived in Baker Street and I am not born in July.
This is scary shit! How can they confuse me over with somebody else, how can they ask you for your social on phone while any government agency tells you not to hand it out via phone. Since I have not gotten any official letter I disregarded the phone call but it's scary that whoever called knew my address and phone number and simply accused me of something I never did.

Good decision! Probably a scam! It is scary. I've had people say they're from my bank, but they can never provide the appropriate information so I never cooperate. lol
Yeah, it is scary what people do to get to your information.
