Today I had an appointment with one of the insurance agents. She wanted to take pictures of our new house. I had the doggies with me. Yukon was in the crate while Indra and Judge were in the back of the car.
Anyhow, I met the agent, she took pictures inside and when the realtor left and I wanted to move my car out of the way, three dogs ran towards me and the owner was nowhere to be found. The dogs approached me, while mine went ballistic in the car which wasn't surprising at all. Pretty much any dog would have done the very same thing mine did.
I stood my ground and told the dogs "GO!" and made a bold move forward. One of them ran off and finally the owner came and re-called them.
So I guess I met the dogs from one of our new neighbors.
The insurance agent asked if I have dogs and I was like "Yes" (Obviously). She wanted me to take them out of the car so she can take pictures and I asked if I can send them instead.
There was no way I'd take them out the car with three lose dogs running around. HELL NO!
She looked at me like I just admitted that my dogs are dog-aggressive. I could hear her voice shifting and I told her that they are friendly but the entire neighborhood is worked up and pointed to the dog from over the road, behind the fence, going frantic, running up and down barking.
She was like "Give me your e-mail address and I will send you an email so you can send in the pictures."
I was surprised that they want pics for the home owners. Nobody ever asked us for pics with the renters insurance, all they wanted to know was the breed and how many dogs we have...
Anyhow... great... looks like I have an irresponsible owner two doors away from us. It's ought to be interesting once we move in. Thank god we have a privacy fence. It'd be very loud in the neighborhood if they could not only hear but see all those other dogs, especially when they are running on the loose.
Maybe we should stay out in the country... LOL

LOL. I live in a town house complex and I bet there are only two or three of them that DON'T have dogs. Only one other guy has a GSD though, but it's obedient as rin tin tin. There's one other dog, a boxer that is very good and doesn't need to be on a leash. I keep my dogs on a leash just for security anyways. But even the neighborhood behind us has dogs that bark and bark. It sounds like the twilight bark sometimes haha

Thanks for your comment Michele :)
haha, sounds like dog heaven.
I hope that those dogs are good dogs and won't be too much of a pest. I'll definitely make sure that we don't have to many encounters with them.
In the city I keep mine on the leash as well. I don't get how people can let them off leash. Doesn't matter how obedient they are, dogs will be dogs will be dogs and my old roommates super obedient Agility Champions got run over by a car because she decided to run on the road, nobody knows why...
