When Obama got sworn in as the new president, lots and lots of Americans, or Germans who are madly in love with the new president (believe me most Germans are crazy about him) apparently sent small hot-air balloons into the sky. At least that's whats CENAP (yeah, we too have a UFO Hotline) in Mannheim believes.
You see, many people called in to report that there'd be weird lights at the sky and no one knew what it was. They thought they'd be watching fireballs or meteors on the sky. They said they were seen in parts of Germany where you can find communities with a high percentage of Americans and that these balloons are also known as wish lanterns.
However, I thought that was funny because people freaked out and thought they saw an UFO and called the UFO Hotline.
The headlines were (Hope I translated it correctly): Obama causes Sky Lightning in Germany.
Now President Obama... no more UFO crazyness in Germany... ;o)
