Ever since Zenzy got castrated she gained weight and since I do not want her to become one of those fat obese dogs that you can see all over the place I am going to go raw with her. So I went to the commissary to buy food for the dogs.
I bought 20lbs of rice, a big bag of potatoes, lots and lots of carrots, bananas and lots of meat as well as rid-worms because it's time to de-worm them again. When I went to the cash-registry the bagging lady was like "Mmmhmmm those Bananas look good." and I told her that I got them for the dogs. She couldn't believe that everything I bought is for the dogs. She was like "Lucky dogs."
It surprises me that so many people don't know that dogs actually like to eat veggies, they always look at me like I'd be crazy to get carrots or bananas for the dogs. They enjoy veggies just as much as they enjoy their meet.
So Zenzy got some beef with bananas while Yukon and Indra got beef with carrots. Amazingly Yukon doesn't show any signs of allergies when I feed him raw and he was diagnosed to be allergic with beef, chicken, lamb and pork.
However, since I do a lot of clicker-training I have to be careful with how much I feed the dogs. It is probably one of the reasons why Zenzy has gained weight. So instead of using the Meatballs from Bestes Futter I am going to use carrot bits for her.

My parents' dog begs for apples and baby carrots. My dogs don't beg because they know we just don't do that in our house, but they do enjoy a slice of apple once in awhile. My rabbit will attack you for banana however. And I did have another rabbit who would eat eggs if you left your breakfast plate on the table.
Our dogs always loved to have fruits, when they were in the garden they just ate them from the shrubs or waited for the apples to fall into the grass. Instead of throwing branches we always threw apples ;)
Ooooh yeah, baby carrots, they know immediately when I bought them. I haven't even unpacked the groceries and they already KNOW whats in there... HAHAHA
My dogs love every vegetable and fruit I've offered to them, except, inexplicably, blueberries. They also disliked the bit of celery that fell on the floor once. The adore bananas, carrots, and apples especially.
